ECC Selected Project References
ECC, the Name Behind the Big
Guys!
Lockheed
Martin
- ECC was selected as a "sole
source" vendor by Lockheed Martin and was awarded a national contract to
perform lighting surveys and evaluations in conjunction with the EPA's
Green Lights program. ECC specified lighting efficiency, control
efficiency measures and made recommendations for fixtures, lamps and
components for approximately 9.1 million sq. ft. in 8 states. ECC also
redesigned many of the lighting environments in various locations for
Lockheed Martin facilities.
LA-Z-BOY
- ECC performed a redesign of La-Z-Boy's lighting system, and a retrofitting
of fixtures for their large furniture manufacturing environment. We provided
a "needs assessment" in recommending illumination for various critical
and non-critical task requirements in conjunction with redesigning the lighting system. ECC was able
to improve lighting efficiency with an overall reduction of 68% light
energy while vastly improving the quality of lighting in the space.
La-Z-Boy adopted ECC's recommended specifications for standardizing
lighting in their task environments.
Whirlpool - Industrial &
Manufacturing plants - Approx. 1.7 million square feet - ECC specified
replacement components and the retrofit of lighting systems, including
some lighting redesign in Ohio and Tennessee. Our scope of work Included a
complete energy analysis for the lighting system in conjunction with the
EPA Green Lights Program.
Gillette
Corporation - Industrial manufacturing, distribution and warehousing -
Approximately 860,000 square feet in Minneapolis, MN - ECC specified
replacement and retrofit of the existing lighting systems. Conducted a
comprehensive energy analysis in conjunction with the EPA Green Lights
Program.
AT&T - (Formerly LA
Cellular) ECC retrofitted many of the California AT&T Wireless
Showcases and assisted in developing Lighting Management and Maintenance
strategies.
Newport-Mesa Unified School District - This
project required a major redesign of the existing lighting systems with
over 95 percent fixture replacement at 26 District sites. The project
involved major lighting infastructure replacement for both interior and
exterior lighting, and lighting controls. Many of the lighting design
solutions were developed through the utiliaztion of computer aided
lighting design, which helped maximize and maintain efficiency of the
lighting system through its life cycle. ECC was instrumental in resolving
many lighting problems through its engineering and lighting design
capabilities. Resolution of issues with respect to lighting problems
included multi-purpose rooms, gymnasiums, stadium lighting, and the
boardroom at the new District Office. In addition, ECC played an important
role in helping the District acquire resources for financing the project
as well as referring resources for implementing other efficiency measures
through its close ties in the energy efficiency industry.
Rialto Unified School District - It was the
District's goal to modernize multiple project sites including setting new
transformers, installing over 250,000 sq. ft. of new acoustical ceilings,
replacing two chiller systems, installing computer cabling and new light
fixtures. A secondary goal was to ensure that the District was current
with respect to energy efficient technologies and energy management. ECC
was selected by the District to be the design/build contractor for the
lighting portion of the project. ECC assist Edison EnVest, the architects
and engineers, with lighting specifications and lighting design in
classrooms and other areas.
City of San Bernardino - ECC was contracted to
provide design and engineering services for City buildings, multi-level
and underground parking structures, and for a large shopping mall. ECC
developed comprehensive lighting specifications and analysis for the City
Hall building. The specifications included ambient lighting controls,
integration of daylight harvesting and other lighting control systems. The
project was originally intended as a research and development project in
conjuction with utility sponsored time-use monitoring.
Riverside Unified School District - ECC was
challenged to identify lighting efficiency opportunities that were missed
by a previous contractor's retrofit performed in 1993. The original
contractor had excluded many of the shops, labs, auditoriums, gymnasiums
and other difficult areas. ECC developed solutions that improved the
lighting significantly and generated excess savings that permitted the
District to incorporate other efficiency measures into the project.
Holiday Retirement Corporation - Holiday
Retirement Corporation is the largest retirement home chain in the world.
ECC ahs exclusively provided efficiency and maintenance services to HRC
for over 7 years. We have serviced over 110 facilities throughout the US
and Canada. ECC continues to service the client in evaluating and
anyalizing lighting effiency programs for existing structures as well as
design assistance for new construction and acquisitions. ECC has generated
over $500,000 in utility rebates for HRC nationwide. and materials.
